Congratulations to Tomas Barraza, a Ph.D. student in the Stiff-Roberts Research Group and one of the 2018-2019 FIP Chambers Scholar Award Winners! The prestigious John T. Chambers Scholar program in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University has been an integral part of the Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (FIP) since 2001. The program recognizes graduate students for their demonstrated excellence in academic studies, research, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Tomas will receive stipend, tuition, and fees support for one year as he continues his work on the deposition of hybrid perovskites by matrix-assisted pulsed laser evaporation (MAPLE) for application to optoelectronic devices.
